growing like a weed

I took peyton to the doctor for her two month check up. she is doing great. Growing so fast. she is 12 pounds. and super long. id have to look at her chart because i dont remember how long but i know she is in the 95th percentile! Her head is big too but that runs in the family fo sho. Her doctor says she is doing the best she has seen as far as moving and holding her head up. she is so strong i think we may have a heavy weight champion on our hands folks. She is super healthy and beautiful as ever lookin like her daddy as you can see in the pics. mini stoby

your gonna miss this

Lately ive been wishing things away. Too often i catch myself saying things like " i cant wait till the kids are out of diapers" or "i cant wait till the kids get older so we can do more things". I heard this country song and it really made me stop and think about how much i am going to miss. I just need to remember that there are pros and cons to every age and i need to enjoy these days while i can. Before i know it they will be grown adults and out of the house. Here are the lyrics to that song. They really say alot.

She was staring out the window
Of their SUV
Complaining, saying,
I cant wait to turn 18
She said, "I'll make my own money"
And I'll make my own rules"
Mama put the car in park
Out there in front of the school
And she kissed her head
And said 'I was just like you"

You're going to miss this
You're going to want this back
You're going to wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're going to miss this

Before she knows it
She's a brand new bride
In her one bedroom apartment
And her daddy stops by
He tells her "It's a nice place"
She says "It'll do for now"
Starts talking about babies
And buying a house
Daddy shakes his head
And says "Baby just slow down"

Cause You're going to miss this
You're going to want this back
You're going to wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're going to miss this

Five years later
There's a plumberWorking on the water heater
Dogs barking, phones ringing
One kids crying, one kids screaming
She keeps apologizing
He says "They don't bother me.
I've got two babies of my own.
One's 36, one's 23.
It's hard to believe..."

But You're going to miss this
You're going to want this back
You're going to wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're going to miss this
You're going to miss this
Yeah you're going to miss this

veggie garden

I have no idea how to start a garden but i thought it would be fun to try. Im probably all wrong on the time and season. who knows. i guess i could educate myself and do it right but i opted to just start digging up some dirt and putting the seeds in. I have no clue if they will grow in clay.. Thats all Georgia has! I planted cucumbers the other day and i noticed they have sprouted up. Lets see if anything grows on em. Jason thought it would be fun to do pumpkins but im a little nervous that the vines may take over the yard! Anyway thats my new hobby. Haley enjoys it too. Ill post pics if they grow lol

birthday girl

Today my little princess turns 4. I cant even believe how fast 4 years has gone by.I wish i could keep her little forever. ... We had a little princess themed birthday party for her yesterday. All of her little friends from dance came. We just had pizza and cake. I didnt plan to much because i was afraid no one would come. At first i was bummed when i found out everyone was coming that i didnt plan some activities for them, but when they all came into my house i realized quick that it was hectic enough without a ton of girls diving for candy from a pinata. Haley had a lot of fun though. She got some nice gifts too. About five princess toys, a card game, cloths, magnent dolls, and from me and jason she got her room decorated in princess fairy theme. Ill post pics of it soon. She really gets what birthdays are about now. Today is her actual birthday and we dont have to much planned. We are going to paint nails and do our hair together. she always loves that. Tomorrow my mom and brother are coming and she is going to have another party with just the family. when we woke up this morning and told her happy birthday she was like " I have two birthdays?" She seemed amazed. shes going to feel even more special when we have another party! Birthdays are supposed to be magical for little kids.... i hope i accomplished that.

letting go

I realize i should have been doing this a long time ago. Because i am so anal..... maddy just ate yogurt for the first time all by herself. I know this should have happened forever ago but i just couldnt stand the sight of her slinging yogurt all over the kitchen for the fun of it. Nothing would have gotten to her mouth if i let her do it by herself. I finally gave in and let her have at it. she has to learn sometime. even if that means cleaning yogurt out of her ears.

dress up

Haley as "madam rutabaga" (strawberry shortcake)

haley as a maid

haley as a chef

Just about every day Haley dresses up and prances around the house. Most of the time she has created a character and plays along with it. Sometimes she acts like someone from a movie she has seen. i just have to share the photos. they make me smile. Its so much fun to have girls however my wallet will feel the wrath of girls when they become teenagers and want to "dress up" but for now....its just fun.

u can call me momma

Being a mom is truly the most rewarding job in the world. I love it more that anything. Its also the most challenging i have to say. There are times when i want to pull my hair out. Its either Haley pulling all her cloths out of her closet onto the floor because she wanted to play dress up.... or Maddy putting a whole roll of toilet paper in the toilet. There is always something happening in the stobaugh house. Even after you've been puked on or listened to three screaming kids all day, they turn the day all around when they tell me they love me or just by doing something cute. Just a simple hug and kiss makes it all worth while. I have the best kids in the world and i hope and pray that i can be the best mother for them. It scares me to death to think of them getting older. I hope i can set a good example and be someone they look up to. As far as my day today... its been good. Jason bought me a willow tree angel to add to my collection. He also helped the girls make me a card with their hand prints. However, last Friday Jason got a vasectomy...... and he still recovering so Ive been really busy taking care of him and the kids. Tomorrow i have a hair app. so that's my mothers day treat. I'm looking forward to it. anyway as Haley woulds say...... Happy mommas day
