happy birthday jay-dog

Today is jasons 24th birthday. We didnt do anything special.... well jay spent most of the day at the car dealership. He got his man van for his birthday. He is so excited about it i think i may find him sleeping in it tonight. I myself have never been a van person ... but.... we needed something with more room. It is a nice van. Its the 2008 dodge. So besides the van jason received a few Lowes gift cards from family and got a grill. He really made out this year.(this is a picture of jay being jay..... he wouldnt smile for the camera... just a blank stare)

baby news

I went to the doctors today. The nurse asked me if i wanted to be induced.... i didnt even know this was an option. I thought you only get induced if you are over due. so she says that if nothing happens by next friday i can schedule to be induced... ....... its kinda scary tho. im used to just waiting for that day to pop up on us. but it would be super convenient to get induced..... im nervous. The last pregnancy is still so fresh in my mind....

strawberry shortcake

I made homemade strawberry shortcake for the first time ever. It was a big hit in the stobaugh house. Haley was really excited to help make it because she love the movies of strawberry shortcake. Im taking advantage of these yummy treats because when the little one comes..... its diet time.

Yesterday haley and i made edible playdoh. I have been trying to come up with different ways to be creative and keep her little mind busy. I got the recipe from my favorite show on TLC... jon and kate plus 8. The recipe is simple. Its just equal parts honey, peanut butter, and powder milk. Plus i added some flour for consistency. I have to admit it looks a little scary. Haley tasted it but did more playing with it. Maddy on the other hand ..... she tore it up! We did this at snack time. it was good fun

happy easter

Today we didnt do anything to exciting. We woke up haley and told her the Easter bunny had been here. She jumped up and looked at the baskets on the coffee table with pure excitement. Her face was priceless. Better then christmas even! Then we woke maddy and she was excited for like a minute. lol Then we fixed a huge , carb filled, fattening breakfast and had some friends over. We hunted for easter eggs and played in the yard for a while. Thats about all. It was nice though. We were going to fix a big dinner but decided on breakfast because our friends had other plans later in the day and we wanted them over so haley had a friend to hunt eggs with. Its was good simple fun.

We watched this movie last night and i was so impressed. Its a must see . Its great for the whole family. Jason even liked it. There are a few musical scenes that Haley loved dancing and singing to. You must see this.

We went to target for some house shopping and when we passed the little girls section we see a group of kids sitting on bean bags with big paper Horton ears. Of course Haley wanted to join so we sat and listened to a few Dr. Seuss books and had a snack. They also had coloring packets for them. It was just a cool surprise at target. Haley had fun which really made me happy because we have been so busy i feel like she has gotten the short end of the stick. Shes been so good through it all.
