what?.....only 58 cent

Every now and then i post some of the kids old clothes on ebay.(since i know for sure i wont be having any more kiddies) Well the other day i went to walmart and saw a clearance rack with some little girl jeans. They had no clearance sticker so i found a price check thingy and they were only 58 cent each!! so i grabbed em all! I had no clue what i was going to do with 5 pairs of the same pants so i put them on ebay. I sold one set as a pair for twins and got 14.50 for them. I was so excited. The pants were originally 8.96 each. They sold for 14.40 with 6.00 shipping, so the person who bought them really didnt get a great deal..... but i sure did!

pure entertainment

We got rid of cable because we never watch it and it was a waste of 50 dollars so we have found new ways to entertain ourselves. we really shouldnt be encouraging our kids to be violent with daddy but it is so much fun. The girls find so much joy in jumping on jason, slapping him kicking him.... yea ... but they know its only ok to hit daddy when we are playing. Jason makes this frightening dinosaur sound that make the girl squeal with terror and excitement. Sometimes i dont think jay knows what he is in for because they can throw some mean punches. He loves it though , i guess he figures since he didnt get his boy to rough up he will rough up the girls. Its a nice little show to watch and it gets some pent up energy out. I just sit back and giggle.

losing it

So ive been trying really hard to shed a few pounds. I dont have time to go to the gym with three girls, however we have a treadmill so there is no excuse. Its plain and simple .... i just dont want to. I would rather starve then run in the heat to lose the extra baggage im carrying. I was 155 right when i got out of the hospital and now i am 145. I cant even believe im writing this for anyone to read but whatever. Ive been really trying to change the way i eat. Counting calories, less sugar, more fruits and veggies, taking vitamins, all in my efforts to be healthy. Now if i could just find the motivation to exercise! Jason and me were watching some home videos the other night and we came across one of us eating dinner in Texas.( Im not sure why we were even recording this... i think it was just because the camera was new) And i looked so chubby i couldnt stop laughing. I remember that day very clear. We had eaten spaghetti and garlic bread for dinner and i kid you not i ate a whole loaf of texas toast minus the one peace that jason had! Then we had blue bell ice cream after dinner. The funny part of this is I really thought that because i went to the gym maybe three times a week it was ok to eat this way and still lose the weight that i wanted! HAHA.no wonder i weighed the most ive ever weighed there ( 160 cough) what was i thinking. So anyway ive really learned a lot about taking care of myself and eating right. Most of the changes are so obvious but at least im making changes. I have to take care of me if im going to keep up with three girls!

mourning my loss

Today is a very sad and frustrating day. My poor camera that is just barely a year old is broken! I set it on top of the refrigerator to keep it safe from the kids. Apparently it wasnt safe from clumsy ole me. somehow i managed to make it fall off while i was looking for something. It hit the counter then bounced onto the floor. It was in its case so i didnt even look to see if it had survived its fall until i went to capture an adorable moment that haley and maddy were having and the whole screen is shot out. BOOOOO I am so bummed i have to go buy a new one. This one was so good to me. Im in mourning

time to down size

Every single night we clean up the play room for the next day. I have been trying to teach haley to play with one toy at a time and when you are finished, put it away. She is kind of learning.... when i remind her. It defeats the purpose when maddy goes in the playroom and dumps every bucked just for the trill of making a mess. Im beginning to think maybe we have to much. Once they are done being tiny tornadoes,, they want nothing to do with the playroom and they move on to another room to turn upside down. I think i may have a yard sale or put some away. They have so much i think it overwhelms them. I didnt buy all of these toys just to make that clear. This is what they have accumulated from grandparents who want to spoil them silly, birthdays, and ok maybe we bought them some too. The bottom line is, im tired of cleaning up this disaster caused by the tiny tornadoes every night. time to downsize

fruit pizza

we made fruit pizza yesterday. It was pretty tasty. I would have like to put more fruit on it but i used what i had on hand. Strawberries, bananas and melons would have been good. I put kiwi, grapes and blueberries. I didnt do the glaze either, just didnt feel like it. It still turned out yummy. A good summer treat

1/2 package of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
8 ounces of whipped light cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup apricot preserves
Fruit of your choice (sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, sliced kiwi, seedless grapes cut in half, blueberries, melon balls sliced in half)

Directions
CRUST: Spread the package of sugar cookie dough over a 14-inch pizza pan. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Cool in the pan. TOPPING: Blend the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla until completely mixed. Spread in a thin layer over the cooled crust. FRUIT LAYER: Creatively arrange the fruit in circles while slightly overlapping the slices around the crust. GLAZE: Bring the water and preserves to a boil, stirring constantly. Lightly brush this glaze on top on the fruit to preserve the color. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
