to buy or not to buy

Jason and I have been looking at houses for sale just for the fun of it. And then we started looking at our finances to see if we could afford a house..just for the fun of it. There is this house that seems too good to be true. We could afford it. Its close to everything. very nice. The only question is should we wait untill we get out of the air force. i mean would it be worth the head ache of selling if we had to move? Its not like the house we live in now is terrible. Its not. Its just not very pretty outside. And it doesnt feel cozy. i really want it bad but i want to make the right decision. jay is pretty sure we are going to be here for a while.... so ...... any suggestions?

Ben says that if it is a great deal and you LOVE it then go for it! Also don't forget to get all the inspections and such because usually if it looks like a great deal there is a reason why it's so cheap. I say that I'm always scared to make commitments like that. My biggest concern is usually what if you end up wanting to go somewhere else and then you are tied to a house you can't sell. Don't forget to add insurance (about 100 bucks) to the monthly bill as well as utilities (if you really want to know you should call and ask for an average for the area). I don't know.. I'm a big chicken! I told Ben we won't buy a house until it is the house I really want... meaning he's done with med school and we're not going to move any time soon. That is a big and exciting decision so good luck! Don't forget to check out renting possibilities if you just want a cuter place. Our house is only $795 a month, which we would never have found buying. This is a long comment!
